Heading out to a family dinner, take your camera!!!

Hello Everyone,

I know most of you will be heading out to your family dinners with tons of questions in mind, after all, there is no better opportunity than a family gathering.

Here is my advice on that. Don't push!!!! Just have your normal casual conversation and film that; interject a question every now and them, allow THEM to do the talking!

(1) Commit nothing to memory!"
(2) Take your digital camera, video cameras and tons of film with you. Years from now, your children will thank you for having done so.
(3) Never edit your originals! It's those awkward moments that you will enjoy the most.
(4) Be respectful of boundaries, if someone doesn't want to filmed then just capture the audio or manual notes. You could ask if they are willing to be photographed instead.
(5) Just put the camera on a tripod and then let it roll during dinner.
(6) Offer to send everyone an edited copy of the film for their keepsake; honor it.
(7) Take EVERYONE'S contact info before they leave

Other than that, treasure the moments you will share with them! Merry Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!
